Principal:
The principal is responsible to the Vice-Chancellor for:
- the proper administrative performance of all financial and administrative divisions of the University;
- the co-ordination of the University central and administrative and financial functions of the Faculties and Units;
- presiding over the Building Committee, the Grounds and Gardens Committee and other administrative or financial committee as may from time to time be determined;
- having the custody of the University Common Seal and shall affix it to documents in accordance with the directions of the Council;
- having the custody of records, registers and title deeds of the University and such other property of the University as may be determined from time to time by the Vice-Chancellor.
The Deputy Principal:
The Principal has a deputy in each campus.
The Deputy Pricipal is appointed by the Chancellor on the recommendation of the Vice-Chancellor for a period of two years and shall be eligible for reappointment.
Academic Secretary:
- The Academic Secretary is appointed by the Council on the recommendation of the Vice-Chancellor
- The Academic Secretary works under the supervision of the Deputy Vice-Chancellor and is responsible to him and through him to the Vice-Chancellor for the proper performance of the general administration of the University’s academic affairs.
- The functions and duties of the Academic Secretary are described by the regulations
- The period of the appointment of the Academic Secretarty is determined by the Statues.
