The commencement of the Faculty of Law was with the advent of the University in 1903. In the year 1936 the School of Law was established and offered its first degree in 1947. At the time it offered the Diploma of Law.
It had a special association with the University of London, which awarded its degrees. It was attached to Khartoum University College in 1956. It awarded at that time a Diploma of law.
The Faculty of Law offers both post-graduate and under-graduate degrees.
The Faculty offers courses for first degrees leading to the following qualifications:
The Degree of Bachelor of Laws (Civil) of the University of Khartoum
The Degree of Bachelor of Laws (Sharia) of the University of Khartoum
