Jordanian King affirms support to Sudan AMMAN, May 13 (KUNA) -- Jordanian King Abdullah II made a phone call on Tuesday with Sudanese President Omar Hassan Al Basher to check on the latest developments in Sudan particularly after the recent unrest in Khartoum. King Abdullah expressed solidarity and support for Sudan as well as efforts to achieve peace and stability, Jordanian Presidential Diwan said in a statement. The Sudanese government has accused the Justice and Equality Movement of actions against security and stability of Sudan. Meanwhile, King Abdullah also held talks with Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah of Brunei on ways of boosting bilateral ties in all fields as well as issues of concern to the Islamic world. The two leaders expressed interest to expand cooperation in various fields and proceed with measures to sign agreements still being examined in the economic, tourism and defense fields. King Abdullah and the Sultan of Brunei also reviewed investment, air transport, vocational and academic cooperation and a number of Islamic issues. |
