The Chairman of the Sudanese European Council for Public Relations Professor David Hoile has highly criticized the International Criminal Court (ICC) and its General Prosecutor Luis Moreno Ocambo.
David Hoile said, while addressing the forum organized by the Sudanese Popular Council for International Friendship, that the ICC is politically motivated and its general persecutor Ocambo is merely politician and not a lawyer. “I advise the Government of South Sudan not to join the ICC that will create many difficulties to the newly born state “said Hoile adding that Kenya parliament is currently doing its best to cancel Kenya’s recognition to the ICC.
David Hoile further added that the International Criminal Court is not an independent body and the court is not recognized by many of great international powers such as India, United States of America, Iran and Russia. “I think the ICC is European court to persecute the African leaders ‘’ said Hoile adding that the ICC is very selective in its cases. The Chairman of the Sudanese European Council for Public Relations Professor David Hoile has further revealed that the judges of the International Criminal Court lack the experience and judicial background. “President Al Bashir is eligible to be nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize for his efforts in implementing the Comprehensive Peace Agreement (CPA) that has ended the long civil war between North and south “added David Hoile.
