Port Sudan - President of the Republic, Field Marshal Omer Al Bashir has affirmed support to the Project of Supplying Port Sudan with water from the River Nile, giving directive for solving problems impeding its implementation.
In an interview with SUNA, Governor of Red Sea State Mohammed Tahir Aila which will be published later said the President during his visit to Port Sudan expressed that more concern will be given to development projects in various domains in the Red Sea State.

He added the cost of the major Port Sudan's Water Supply Project is estimated at 570 million dollars.
