Khartoum – The Arab Centre for Tourism Media announced the winners of Arab tourism award for 2013 on Thursday.
The winners are UAE, Sudan and Saudi Arabia. Port Sudan and Khartoum were declared winners while Al-Kalifa tower in Dubai was declared the Arab top tourism landmark as the world's tallest building.
The Arab centre for tourist media organises competition. The centre's membership includes journalists and media specialising in tourism from across the world.
Geith al-Geith, owner of the Dubai-based Gloria hotel, the largest in the Middle East, won the title of Arab tourism ambassador for 2013.
Ali Al-Gieidi (Saudi Arabia) was selected as the owner of the largest shopping malls in North Africa.
