Petroleum Ministry to Rehabilitate Port Sudan Refinery Sudan Vision - February 16
Khartoum – Minister of Petroleum, Dr. Awad Ahmed Al-Jaz announced that his ministry embarked on rehabilitation of Port Sudan Oil Refinery to improve its capacity in refining the crude oil and provide the petroleum products.
He called on all the concerned companies in public and private sector to manufacture spare parts locally to encourage the local industry and to achieve the slogan of oil industry localization.
Al-Jaz, who chaired the meeting of some local factories including GIAD, Kenana Sugar, and Al-Bayan Foundry, called for utilizing to the maximum the capabilities of the Sudanese manufacturers in both private and public sectors in manufacturing the spare parts of the oil establishments.
