Qatar to Repair Meroe Pyramids in Al-Bejrawiyya
Sudan Vision -  February 03
The minister of the Supreme Council for Investment, Dr. Mustafa Ismail, announced a Sudan-Qatar project to support Nubian archeology and repair 27 archaeological sites in Northern state and the Bejrawiyya pyramids area in River Nile. He praised Qatar’s work in Sudan.

Ismail said that the restoration project on the Bejrawiyya pyramids will develop the Nubian monuments archaeologically and boost tourism and investment.

Ismail described Qatari investments in Sudan as good. He emphasised the state's keenness to attract more Arab investment in Sudan.

Ismail called for more tourism investment as Sudan has a huge tourism potential.

He reiterated that 2013 will be a year of investment in Sudan, stressing the state’s desire to remove all problems and obstacles that hinder tourism investment in Sudan.

The council of ministers had approved the Investment Promotion Law for 2013, presented by Ismail on Thursday. The council spokesman, Omer Mohammed Saleh, said that the draft law aims to improve the investment environment to attract national, Arab and foreign investment.
